Unwasted Cup by Anna Maria Sand Jensen
The Unwasted Cup series is part of the exhibition CUPS, curated by Tableau and Liv Vaisberg, presented with Sovino Brands in occasion of 3 Days of Design and the 50th anniversary of the opening of Sommersko Cafe.
Unwasted Cups reimagine ceramics by consiting og 65–100% local waste; eggshells, straw, even ceramic dust. Each piece is a sculptural, functional vessel, uniting disciplined forms with bespoke, waste-based glazes and turning discarded matter into refined design. Globally celebrated, the collection received the Red Dot Design Award for Sustainable Design 2025 and was a finalist at the Danish Design Awards 2025.
MATERIALS: Own recipes made from waste materials. Clay: 75% ceramic waste. Glaze: 65-100% waste, for instance, eggshells, straw, broken ceramics, and glass. All cups have 75-100% waste in glaze and/or clay.
DIMENSIONS: ∼ 7,6 cm x 8 cm
