SMALL IMPERFECT JAR B28 BY ONOFRIO ACONE
The “Small Imperfect Jar” collection by Onofrio Acone is rooted in an ancient artisanal tradition: the coil technique, also known as colombino. This slow, meditative process gives life to pieces that are truly authentic and unrepeatable. Each jar bears the mark of the artist’s hand, becoming a unique work of art - imperfect, and therefore extraordinary.
The Bold series captures the strength and depth of rich, full-bodied colors - intense and vibrant. The Translucent series plays with light, creating delicate transparencies and subtle nuances. The Opal series stands out for its understated elegance, expressed through refined matte tones.
Every piece is hand-shaped and finished with glazes made from natural pigments, resulting in a diverse range of forms, colors, and styles. Each jar is a small masterpiece.
Born in Salerno in 1977, Onofrio Acone grew up in his parents’ ceramic workshop, founded in 1982, where he developed an early passion for clay and its expressive potential. While expanding the family business into a successful ceramic enterprise, he has remained devoted to hands-on craftsmanship, creating unique sculptures, vases, and paintings using traditional techniques. In 2022, he opened his own gallery, where each piece is a one-of-a-kind work shaped by spontaneity and artistic intuition.
Material: Glazed stoneware, natural pigments
