Constructed from bent aluminum sheets, each piece is meticulously handsatinized.
Select parts are taped off and coated with black lacquer, creating a captivating interplay of forms.
Tijs Gilde is a designer from The Netherlands. Most products derive from material researches that have rather impulsive and intuitive starting points. The researches show a unique fascination for structures, patterns and colour whilst exploring new possibilities of producing and making. After experimental phases the next challenge is to develop the techniques into large scale producible objects, usually for interior purposes. Having a background in trend forecasting and strategy, Tijs always aims to tap into certain needs or trends in existing and future markets.
