drip cup by Marcela Trejo and Yeonni Park
The drip cups are part of the exhibition CUPS, curated by Tableau and Liv Vaisberg, presented with Sovino Brands in occasion of 3 Days of Design and the 50th anniversary of the opening of Sommersko Cafe.
Drip is a cup collaboration designed and made by Marcela Trejo and Yeonni Park that follows the silhouette of a traditional cup in a non traditional form. The cup’s body and handle connect as a single solid piece with a slight, almost seamless opening; round, chunky and puffy forms provide a tangible experience that is soft and gentle for the hands, lips, and eyes. Drip is made and glazed by Yeonni’s hand, mostly brush-on glazing, sometimes dip and sometimes splash, drip is glazed in a luminous pink finish with layers of milky soft pink drips throughout, a simple gesture of joy in the everyday.
MATERIALS: Stoneware
DIMENSIONS: 5 cm x 13 cm x Ø 9 cm
