blind flowers COLLECTION
DESIGNED BY
TABLEAU X secolo, 2026
the blind flowers takeover is an artistic intervention by tableau, on three pieces designed by secolo: the pingu side table, the erwin coffee table and the wax stool.
The lacquered covering and distinctive shape of the pingu side table remain unchanged: an inverted dome that seems to touch the curved base, creating a light and calibrated visual balance. A decorative layer is applied onto this essential structure, enriching the surface with floral motifs created using the blind drawing technique, entrusting the line to an instinctive and immediate gesture.
The drawing thus becomes a direct expression of the imagination, evoking a spontaneous dimension in which the gesture precedes control. Withoutmodifying its formal identity, Pingu acquires a new expressive depth, emerging as an object capable of combining design rigor and creative freedom.

The coffee table Erwin, already in the Secolo catalogue, is reinterpreted through the artistic intervention of the Danish studio TABLEAU, maintaining intact its form inspired by the surreal works of Erwin Wurm. Two elements interact harmoniously: the central marble top rests on the lacquered wood structure, suggesting a compressed silhouette. This essentiality is complemented by a decorative floral motif, created by Tableau using the blind drawing technique —drawing with your eyes closed—which entrusts the gesture to immediacy and intuition. Without altering its identity, Erwin thus acquires a new expressive intensity, between formal restraint and creative spontaneity.
Wax presents itself as a light and playful stool, where the dialogue between stained and lacquered wood creates a refined material contrast.
The top, with its fluid and almost liquid shapes, is made of coloured lacquered wood, while the stained natural wood legs support the seat with apparent naturalness, concealing every joint. The result is an object with a complete organicity, as if created without mechanical intervention. A decorative floral motif, entrusts the gesture to immediacy and intuition, giving the object a renewed poetic depth in a perfect dialogue between formal rigor and creative freedom.
